Here are the deliverable Instructions: Project: Program Theory Description of Deliverable: This deliverable has 2 components: 1. A program theory graphic. 2. An annotation table to accompany the graphic. The graphic is your program theory. It should not simply be a copy of the logic model presented in the description document of the program. The program theory needs to comprehensively depict and describe how you expect the intervention/program activities to ultimately affect the outcomes and impact of interest. The graphic needs to clearly articulate each of the hypothesized causal steps that should lead from program activities to health impacts. It should show how important contextual and mediating factors are expected to influence implementation of the activities, and achievement of outputs, outcomes, and impact. It should show the relationships among the activities and other elements in the theory. This graphic is the result of your critical analysis of what the program aims to achieve, and how, so that you can identify each evaluable step in the causal pathway. Arrows should show important relationships among these elements, without getting so complex that the graphic cannot be read. Your graphic should make sense in terms of the ordering of the different elements, as well as in terms of the time frame for different activities, outputs, and outcomes. It does not matter if you show things horizontally or vertically, as long as the pathway direction is clear. Start with the graphic.. Identify outputs that are exclusively linked to each activity. Then identify outcomes that would results from those activity outputs. Dont be worried if some activities have more outcomes in between outputs and impact than other activities in your program that could be the case. Remember, you are trying to graphically show the conceptual, expected steps leading from activity implementation to having an effect on the ultimate outcome/impact that is the purpose of the program. Naming the outcomes, just get them in sequential order, and worry about whether they are short-term or immediate later. The terminology does not matter as much as the logical ordering. For contextual and mediating factors, thinking about what factors external to the program might affect the outcomes/impact, or the implementation of activities. After you identify these, you can determine whether the program can influence that external factor (then its mediating), or not (then its contextual). After you get a good draft of the program theory graphic, start the Annotation Table structure linked within this assignment. (PART 2). Copy and paste the table structure into another word document and start filling it in.
