I have never been a huge fan of group-administered tests in the past. When people take tests together it is very common for people to finish at different times. When people finish at different times then it can be pretty distracting. I remember thinking “oh goodness, how are they done already?” or “why it is taking me so long to read through all of these questions?” I think that it is very hard for those still taking the exam and they are getting in their head about it and losing focus on the actual exam. Especially considering that this test is being conducted for a hiring process. People might lose confidence in themselves and give up because they might think that the person who finished fast is more qualified than them. If there had to be a test administered for the hiring process, then I would prefer it to be an individualized test.

This again reminds me of my friend who is doing the study of correlation between birthdays and the 16 personality questionaire. She reached out on facebook for her sample of individuals. Using a sampling method helps to find correlation within a certain range of people. Diversity plays a part which is important to some but not as important to others. For myself doing a survey reasearch study its important to know your audience in what you want for the study. I just started a new job at the Housing Authority office where I live, it would be interesting to do a research study to see what kind of living condtions and such that most people who apply for housing assistance endure or have. Utilizing a survey of the community that needs help could potentially help with knowing the specific groups of people who really need housing assistance and those that are abusing the system. My husband for his SW degree did a survey that sampled parents who had a child that participated in the Head Start program. It gave them data as to what families really need when it comes to help with their children and in their household.
