The question they had to answer. (Organizational behavior is a field that draws heavily on the disciplines of psychology, anthropology, sociology, economics, and political science. Using at least three specific Scriptures to support your assertions, provide one or more unique perspectives that a biblical worldview would contribute to the field of organizational behavior and management. In other words, tell how a Christian or biblically-based worldview will cause one to think of management and OB differently from someone without these bases.)

From the previous chapter explaining the Hawthorne studies and the negative results that could arise in an organization when entirely adhering to Frederick Taylor’s scientific management, studies prove that workers are not just unemotional resources to an organization. Workers respond to political pressures in a work environment, have sociologic, psychologic, economic, and anthropological needs that drive them to respond in certain ways. Leaders of an organization must pay attention to these variables to obtain positive organizational behavior from employees to lead and manage effectively.
1 Peter 5:2-4 (NIV) says, “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them – not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.” This is the first scriptural example that explicitly shows how one leader would behave without a Christian worldview, which is likely a bad leader that coerces and forces employees to behave and work the way that he or she wants, for dishonest, toxic, or immoral gain. The leader with the Christian worldview is eager to serve his or her followers, and be a good example to the employees of hard work, honesty, and other morally right behaviors.
2 Timothy 2:15 (NIV) speaks to the worker specifically on how to live and behave morally in the workplace. The verse says, “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” This worker is honest and performs his work not for man himself, but for the Lord. On the contrary, a worker lacking this scripture may be lazy and working for the wrong reasons, potentially for dishonest gain.
Proverbs 22:29 (NIV) speaks to both managers/leaders and workers. The verse says, “Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank.” This verse encourages workers to keep up hard work, and also that leaders should find their skilled workers, nurture them, serve them, help them to keep growing in their careers to excel all the way up in an organization or whichever career(s) they choose.
