For this assignment, I chose the following three topics and explanation.  They are related to our current society and raise serious issues affecting our daily lives.

Topic 1 –  Should Transportation Security (TSA) regulations be changed?

The terrorist attacks of September 11 in the United States of America, reveal a lack of security in our transportation system.  To ensure de safety and freedom of everyone, the TSA should review the security policies in our transportation system, which is imperative to any traveler.

The thesis is Security issues in our transportation system.

The audience: Anyone who travels, concerned by the freedom and safety of our transportation system.

Topic 2 – Should regulations regarding the use of cell phones while driving be standardized?

The use of the cellular phone while driving brings the drivers at high risk of a crash, and also expose among of people who are not engaged in such activities, such as passenger and other drivers.

Audience: The audience of this topic is anyone who uses a cellular phone while driving, any person concerned by safety and security of vehicle usage, authority, and primary cell phone services providers.

Thesis: The uses of a cellphone while driving lead often to the car accident, causing severe injuries or certain cases death and significant material damages.

Topic 3 – Should changes be made to the regulations for foods that are served in public schools?

There is an evidence of increase nationwide of obesity within children and youth population. As peer parent and educators should implement good eating habits and provide education for our futures adults.

The school is the best and the first place where a rigorous regulation should be implemented to improve nutrition and health standards. The best and well-eating habits gathered today will prevent the future health issues such as diabetes, heart diseases, cancer, and osteoporosis.

 Through continued community involvement as well as the state and local government we can change the course of our children’s future.

The audience of this topic is Children, parents, educators and authority concerned and willing to fight the consequences of obesity leading to many diseases.

Using your thesis statement and research, present the problem that needs to be addressed with your proposed solution. Note: Your solution, advantages, and challenges, will be in Parts 2 and 3.
