Paper 4: Literature Review
You are essentially going to merge papers 1 through 3 in order to compose an analysis and literature review on media representations of family through gender, race, and class. Your final literature review paper must be typed and should be between 5 and 6 pages in length. Use a 12-point font and 1-inch margins.
Note: Do not use blogs, Wikipedia or other online encyclopedia sources such as answer.com in this assignment. These are not scholarly sources.
Explain what your paper is about. In order to guide your writing, use the questions you used in papers 1-3. Include those in your introduction, and as your research method, name some of the shows you have watched.
Overall Body of Paper
This is where you bring in course materials and outside sources used in papers 1-3. Use them to support your statements about media representations of family (gender, race and class within and across families). Write three paragraphs to represent each paper (paper 1-3). This is where you also include your television shows as examples.

Why does this paper matter? Tell us about the importance of accurate representations of families in American Television (example: media has a strong influence on public opinion and the formation of biases). Give us a summary of what you observed.
Reference List of your four outside scholarly resources

An excellent place to start is the “Web of Science DatabaseLinks to an external site.â€Â, which you can access via the library website (you do not have to be on campus to access the database – you will just have to log in via off-campus access). If you are a fan of Google, be sure to check out the library’s tailored google scholar search. It allows you to access the content available through FAU directly and request it via interlibrary loan (again a login is required to do this off campus).
