Building a global health program involves multifaceted barriers. According to (Unite For Sight nd) notes that barriers consist of not having enough health care workers and doctors who can give medical attention and to educate patients. Access to care is due to remote living, no transportation, or limited awareness. Personal reasons also come into play like cost, beliefs, and wanting maintenance that is needed by the individuals. One of the factors in creating global health programs consist of making sure that partnerships are formed to help with coordination of when the global health crisis occurs.
According to (Breaking Down 2020), funding for the global health programs notes that the United States contributes 11.2 billion dollars on programs that support maternal health, nutrition, and family planning. The distribution of international health funding has been concentrated on areas like global health securities and vulnerable children. In my profession, I believe that success global health program would be the vaccination of individuals and the practice of good hygiene of handwashing. This is due to the high traffic of patients that are seen, and contact of patients could lead to an outbreak, especially during flu season.

Hello Class!
A thriving global health program requires many things, such as sufficient funds, leaders and managers, and necessary resources. According to the Center for Global Development (n.d.), “good health service delivery requires that trained and motivated workers are in place and have the supplies, equipment, transportation, and supervision to do their job well” (para 5). Funding is needed to be sure the program continues to be successful, and managers and leaders are beneficial to make sure the program is well supervised. Innovative technology is inevitable and can make a program work more efficiently.
New products alone will not lead to success, but technologies must require successful distribution throughout the target population (Center for Global Development, n.d., para 3). Funding challenges tend to be at the top of the list of potential barriers when creating a global health program. Insufficient financial support from domestic sources, funding issues resulting in agencies focusing on their survival and on producing quick results, rather than on strategic planning and careful program evaluation, and insufficient international financial support are just a few individual barriers (Weiss and Pollack, 2017). Financial support is needed to fund new resources that will make a global health program work.
I think it is appropriate to say that COVID-19 has changed the world, but it has also positively affected the field of Epidemiology. The CDC has worked 24/7 to create a sufficient foundation to detect and fight this virus worldwide. “Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) has trained 18,000 field epidemiologists, or “disease detectives,” in more than 80 countries to help track, contain, and eliminate outbreaks at their source,” Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (2020) states. Along with partnering with health agencies around the world, this program has impacted current students and graduates by providing them with the knowledge of successful global health programs.

Hello everyone,
A successful global health program consists of strong international partnerships, using all aspects of information and research provided, and ample funding (Center for Global Development n.d.) Without these components, the program will have trouble making an impact. A few complications associated with global health programs are the local environment of target communities, limited access to care, and minimal resources (Unite For Sight n.d.).
A challenge for the creating global health programs is having enough health care professionals dedicated to developing programs. There is a shortage of health care professionals all around the world. Funding is also a significant issue for global health programs. Thanks to private donors and large donations, billions of dollars are made available for health spending. (Council on Foreign Relations 2007)
A global health program that is related to my profession is global immunization. I currently work in childcare, so vaccines for both children and caregivers are essential. Staying up to date on vaccines keeps everyone from getting sick. Also, vaccines help infants build immunity against certain diseases while in a childcare center. (CDC 2015)
