Thank you for your post! You’re right, the article was in alignment with the readings from the semester with its emphasis on how important ethical conduct is in our field. We were able to study and learn a great amount on how we can be successful at behaving as ethical professionals while delivering high quality services. I appreciate your key takeaways from this reading too. It’s important that we keep striving to develop our ethical decision making skills to ensure our clients benefit from our line of work. Using EBPs to improve how we make these decisions and how we practice ABA is ethical and necessary. I also appreciate the suggestions Contreras et al. (2022) provided to guide us into finding and using the best available evidence. I thought this was a helpful tool that will be beneficial in the future. I also thought their suggestions on how we should behave to expand our clinical expertise and enrich our professional judgement is useful knowledge to reflect on throughout our careers.
