If I was to complete a full research project, to disseminate my research by reaching out to nursing schools and having it dispersed to clinical instructors, and also to nursing students who are just starting their clinicals. I would choose this method because I believe it would be the basis and most efficient way to get the research that would benefit both parties. It’s important to remember that research is not linear, so it’s important to keep in mind to keep the dissemination plan flexible (Ross-Hellauer et. al., 2020).

Topic: Would an implementation of simulated electronic health records in pre-licensure nursing education amongst undergraduate nursing students improve their skills on electronic documentation during the course of their nursing program?
Dissemination refers to the process of sharing research findings with stakeholders and wider audiences (AHRQ, 2014). To ensure that the research project results will be used, researchers must develop a “dissemination plan” to explain how the outcomes of the research project will be shared with stakeholders, relevant institutions, organizations, and other various individuals (AHRQ, 2014).
In order to disseminate the research findings, the project first must be published. Journal of Nursing Education, Journal of Clinical Nursing and Nurse Education Today and just some of the publishers that align with my specific topic. Once published, the next step is to publicize it. Some ways to do that would be telling friends and colleagues, posting to social media, adding the publication to your LinkedIn profile, and/or emailing the link to the full text to key people and universities in particular field. I believe that my topic is very relevant and needs to be exposed to help change education curriculum sooner rather than later. By making my proposal results easily accessible, more people would be exposed to the issue and can support or join in on the studies to help convince others to make this change.
