Question 1: In your opinion is Ursula Burns more of a charismatic leader, transformational leader, or both?
In my personal opinion, Ursula is both a charismatic and transformational leader. A transformational leader is moving followers into a new perspective and change that will generate the best results. Ursula’s researching market, competitors, and how she transformed the management hierarchy shows that she adopted a transformational leadership style, but after reading the article, it suggests that she uses charisma to influence her employees making her both a charismatic and transformational leader. She encourages her employees to do their best by setting goals for the future. She also encourages her employees to do teamwork while making sure that everyone understands the goal of the company. The qualities of having such a charismatic approach works on transforming ordinary ideas into long-term development on meeting core objectives for the company. By Ursula having such a strong charismatic influence on her employees, it will leave a long-term commitment by all of her employees and it will improve on the product individuality.

I believe that Ursula does fit the bill of a servant leadership. This articles shows a leadership style that focuses on the company’s goals within the targeted marketplace. Ursula had the opportunity to help out her employees and that’s exactly what she did when she became CEO.
