Abstract

The paper proposes an LGBTQ+ discrimination effort targeting housing, employment, and healthcare discrimination to promote inclusion and justice. I chose the Poise Foundation’s Human Equality and Justice Fund RFP because it fits the project’s aims and vision. The report selects a project and donor for my LGBTQ+ discrimination effort, which addresses housing, employment, and healthcare discrimination. This campaign promotes LGBTQ+ inclusion and fairness by raising awareness, pushing for legislative reforms, and providing critical services. After comprehensively evaluating several Request for Proposals (RFPs), I will analyze the RFP that best meets my project’s goals, justify my decision, and present an abstract that outlines the project’s relevance and creativity.

I am confident that pursuing the Poise Foundation’s Human Equality and Justice Fund RFP is beneficial. How did you evaluate the RFPs?

The RFP examination was comprehensive and methodical. I first reviewed several foundation and organization RFPs to find ones that fit the LGBTQ+ Discrimination Initiative’s aims. I evaluated each RFP’s commitment to LGBTQ+ equality, justice, and combating discrimination alongside the initiative’s objective. I analyzed how much the RFPs supported efforts, especially in housing, employment, and healthcare discrimination. I also examined each foundation’s history of sponsoring LGBTQ+ rights and anti-discrimination programs to determine its long-term commitment. To reduce application hurdles, I carefully reviewed each RFP’s eligibility requirements to verify that the project and business fit the needs. Finally, I analyzed each RFP’s financial flexibility and local community effect to personalize our strategy and directly help the LGBTQ+ community. I mostly used Google Scholar and grant-finding tools to discover relevant Request for Proposals (RFPs) for the LGBTQ+ Discrimination Initiative. Google first explored RFPs as a generic search engine. Entering terms like “LGBTQ+ discrimination grant,” “equality and justice funding,” and “anti-discrimination RFP.” let me search broadly. Google’s algorithm and indexing allowed me to access foundation websites, grant directories, and news pieces, giving me a broad awareness of options. I used specialist grant-finding websites to expedite searching and accessing selected grants and RFPs for nonprofits and social projects. GrantWatch, Foundation Center, and GrantStation enable users to filter and search for grants by priority areas, target demographics, and geographic locations to find funding possibilities. The LGBTQ+ Discrimination Initiative’s aims and purpose were better met by these platforms’ organized and fast RFP search process.

What are the selected funding agency’s goals and applicant eligibility?

In its Human Equality and Justice Fund Request for Proposals (RFP), the Poise Foundation has clear aims that fit with the LGBTQ+ Discrimination Initiative.
